Well Dakota and I made it back home yesterday afternoon. We were both very ready to home in our own beds and with daddy! We had a great time visiting Grandma, Grandpa and Pepper in Montrose. And also Aunt Margaret, Racheal, Steve and baby Ava. It was great seeing some old friends from California who now live in Utah... We didn't get to see everyone we wanted to but the mission was a success in what we went there to do.. and that was to help Racheal with the new baby. But we won't be taking a trip without daddy again for a long time.
We started the trip going to Grandma and Grandpa Burris' house. We stayed there for about 4 days.. we played with Pepper and went on walks. And I even made my very first apron. I think it turned out quite well for a first time.
We wanted to go feed the ducks. But we could only find 2 ducks and some other little boys had already been there feeding them. But we had fun throwing bread into the water. And we had a nice walk around the park.

Then we packed up and headed to Utah. We were so excited to see baby Ava and Racheal (and Steve too). Ava is so beautiful. When you asked Dakota what the baby's name is he will so EVAAA( like on Wall-E).. if I said no it's AVA.. he would say.. "I CAN'T SAY THAT WORD" So to Dakota she is baby EVA. But we had a good time in Provo. We are grateful to Aunt Margaret for letting us stay at her house. We weren't really there much, except to sleep and shower. We did all go to IKEA while we were there.. I bought a few things.... and we also had lunch there too.

Dakota and I went to visit my brother which was fun. He and I talked a lot... after that we went downtown to see Temple Square and hang out with some friends that moved from Colorado out there. Dakota had so much fun with Navi... we are glad we got to hang out. Here are some pictures from that trip. We did ride trax downtown which was fun. Dakota played MC and let us know who was getting on and off.. and why did that man have that.. or why was that lady standing there. (and Dakota doesn't say anything in a quite voice).. I am sad I didn't get any pictures of us on Trax or with our friends.

Dakota looks good in this one, but I am making a funny face... So I also posted ...

This one. I look good, but Dakota is not looking. But he enjoyed seeing Jesus there.

On Wednesday we went back downtown so we could so see the Conference center and go to the Distribution center. We had a very nice tour guide that got us though the important parts of the conference center and up on the roof. What a beautiful building. I want to go back and do the whole tour. (But I am taking Peter with me next time). Then over to the Joseph Smith Building to get a few things. Then back down to Provo to have dinner with Katie and Ryan, and Laural and her family. Laural's husband Ronaie ( I don't think I spelled that right) and become a citizen of the US that day.. so we were all very happy for them. We had a great dinner until Dakota started running a fever... I think all the traveling had gotten to him. But we went to the BYU creamery which was fun. I had never been there. (and again I didn't get any pictures). But it was a fun night.
The morning we got up to go.. Dakota threw up like 4 times before 9. I didn't know what to do. He couldn't keep anything down.... But he took a nap and when we woke up he drank a little and ate a little.. and we headed to Grandma's. I think all the traveling and stress of being away really got to him. He is so happy to be home and be with his daddy.
Peter took us out to dinner last night to Texas Roadhouse, then we came home and watched Australia. Good movie. Sad.. but good. I am so happy to be home!

What a fun trip! Just to mention the BYU creamery makes me jealous! I made many trips there!! YUM YUM!! You sure got a lot done on that trip! But I agree, trips without daddy are never as fun! Poor Peter! We are glad you made it back!
How fun that you were able to come and help Rachael. I know my mom loved having you here! I wish we could have seen you, but we didn't want to spread our colds.
Sounds like you had fun, but I'm sure it's good to be home, and with Peter again!
I'm happy you're home too! But maybe not quite as glad as you since I had so much fun with you here last week and this week seemed a little less fun ;)
