4th of July

We had a really good weekend for the 4th of July. We had told my mom earlier that week that we were going to go camping, and honestly we really were going to go camping until some things didn't work out at the last minute, but we still told her we were, but really we headed down to her place. We got there around 9pm, and Peter was on the phone with her as we pulled into her drive way, she was half way surprised, she said that she had told dad a few hours before that she wouldn't be surprised if we didn't pull in around 10pm or so. I don't know how my mom does it but she always seems to know what I am up too. Gotta love moms gut feelings.
We had a good weekend, we went to a little fair there in her town, they had a barrel train that this time Peter had to ride with Dakota, mom bought Dakota a flag hat, and they had this cute water spray thing that Dakota loved. We bought some fire works, and also watched the display that Montrose put on it, it was a really good show. We were going to go to the Reasvior on Saturday, but we got rained out, so we went to some antique shops and then just back to my moms place and had ribs for dinner, they were good. Sunday we had a wonderful lesson in Relief Society, I am glad we stayed. Once we got home we still had some sparkliers we had had to get Dakota to hold one while at my mom and dads but he didn't want anything to do with it, but once we got home and he saw Peter with one, he was all about it.. it did really good with them too. We had a good weekend. I hope everyone had a good 4th of July.

on our way home from Montrose, we stopped in Georgetown just to get out and move around, they had a cute bridge, I really like this picture of all three of us.

Jen, that is a great family picture! Looks like you had fun. Dakota was a doll in church today, even if he was giving you fits. :)
