What a great weekend

We headed down to my mom and dads house for the weekend. It was nice to get away from everything here. I found out Friday that I didn't advance to E-5, so I am still in Denver, my next chance for advancement will be in September. I think we have decided to go ahead and get Dakota on the waiting list for Day Care on base, and Peter start looking for a job, since it doesn't look like we are going to be able to sale the condo any time soon, for what we need to, to pay off the bank. So we have a lot of changes coming our way. But I believe as we put on cares on the Lord, and do our part He will take care of us. Maybe not in the way we want, but what is best for us at the time.

So anyways. We had a good time at my parents. Talking and watching home movies. We were going to go to Lake City, but it was really cold Saturday, so we took a drive to a little trail that lead down to a Dam. I was surprised my mom made it down the trail and back up. It wasn't as warm as we thought it was going to be. But we had a good time. We had a great time at church with mom, the lesson in both Sunday School and Relief Society was very good. Dakota is having issues with us leaving him in Nursery, it doesn't matter if we are in our Ward or somewhere else, so Peter let me stay with my mom and he sat in Nursery with Dakota... but anyways.. Dakota loves my moms dog pepper and would go with Grandma to take Pepper for a walk, and would chase him around the yard. It was nice to not really have to think about things going on back home.

Below are some pictures from the weekend.

I found this video at About.com I love that web site, it has a lot of information on a lot of different stuff, including a whole section on The Chruch of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I think this is a great way to learn the General Authorities, and a little bit about them that you might not have know before. Hope you all enjoy this cute video.

It is funny to think back 10 or even 15 years ago, to see where I was to where I am now.. it's amazing how fast time flies by! I am grateful for the trials and experiences I have had in my life. I am grateful for what I learned from each of them. Life is to short to worry about what happened in the past. It's time to live for today, trust in the Lord that he will guide your furture. There is a great article in the April Ensign about Living for today, by President Thomas S. Monson. I encourage each of you to read it.

So much going on

We have been a very busy family over the last little while. Dakota turned 2 on Sunday the 20th, then two days later we headed for Utah. I was able to surprise my sister in law (peter's sister) for her wedding. We had a wonderful time in Utah seeing all our family. I was able to see cousins I have seen in years and years. The wedding was beautiful, Rachael and Steve got married in the Logan Temple. I had never been there and it was a beautiful. Dakota did well in the car both ways, there and home. And had a good time with his cousins. We didn't get to do a lot of what I wanted, we were so busy running from Logan, to Midvale, to Orem and back again. But it was so great to hang out with Pete's family. We had a really good time. Some Photos from the past week.

Peter's whole family(minus 2 in laws and 3 kids)
All of Peter's 8 brothers and sister were together for Rachael's wedding. It was fun to have everyone there. We sure did miss Sue Carter, Chirs, Kayla and Elisa.

It was a very long day

The Happy Couple! So Beautiful!

In addition to the wedding, my Great Aunt Donna passed away while I was on my way to Utah. I was unable to attend her Funeral service, because it was the same time as the wedding, but my cousin Heidi, Uncle Johnnie, Peter, Dakota and I went to the Cemetery the day after. She was an awesome lady. Her family figured out that she had submitted names and had Temple work done for over a million people. She also had traced one of our lines clear back to Adam. (So I am told). She will be truly missed! But what a reunion they had that day in Heaven.
